With more than 44,500 students, twenty-six strong academic departments, and more than 60 programs, Aarhus University is one of the major Danish universities that have a strong reputation worldwide.
The University currently provides financial help for non-EU/EEA/Swiss students, by offering them a limited number of Danish State scholarships. Interested students have now the possibility to pursue a postgraduate program at the Aarhus University, and achieve their professional goals.
Scholarship Information:
- Host country: Denmark.
- Host university: Aarhus University, Denmark.
- Application deadline: For non-EU/EEA/Swiss students the application deadline for the majority of Master’s program study for September 2021 intake 15 Jan 2021.
- Level and Field of study: 2 years English-taught Master’s degree in any field of study available in the four faculties.
- Target group: Students from countries outside the EU/EEA/Swiss.
Scholarship benefits:
The Aarhus University Scholarships cover:
- A full tuition waiver.
- A monthly stipend for the duration of the degree programme (a maximum of 23 months).
Eligibility criteria:
The four faculties have their own individual priorities regarding their specific priorities:
- Faculty of Arts: Priority is given to applicants with outstanding academic qualifications.
- Faculty Business and Social Sciences: Priority is given to applicants with outstanding academic qualifications.
- Faculty Natural Sciences: Priority is given to applicants with outstanding academic qualifications.
- Faculty Technical Sciences: Priority is given to applicants with outstanding academic qualifications.
- Faculty of Health: Further information about strategic priorities will follow.
General criteria:
- Students must apply for a two-year, English-taught Master’s degree program at Aarhus University and be admitted.
- Applicants to Bachelor’s degree programs are not eligible for tuition waivers/scholarships.
- Applicants must mae themselves acquainted with the specific admission criteria of the Master’s degree programs they want to apply for and make sure they meet these requirements.
How to apply:
There is no need to send a separate application for the Danish State Scholarships at Aarhus University. Which means, students shouldn’t mention in their application for admission for the Master’s program that they want to apply for the scholarship. All applicants will be automatically considered for the scholarship.
Only a limited number of scholarships/tuition waivers are usually offered, and only very highly qualified applicants can receive the scholarship.
