Scholarship benefits and value:
The scholarship recipient will receive the following financial support for up to 3.5 years:
- Full funding for tuition fees.
- An annual stipend of £21,600 to assist with living costs.
- A consumables fund of £2,000 per year for the first 3 years of study.
- A program of bespoke opportunities and events provided by the Graduate School.
Eligibility:
- Applications are accepted from outstanding candidates from any part of the world, including the UK. There are no restrictions on nationality.
- Applicants must belong to the highest achievers in their undergraduate class and be in receipt of, or due to receive a first-class UK degree or equivalent.
- Applicants with diplomas from universities and institutions located outside of UK have to make sure that their grades are equivalent to the relevant eligibility requirements.
- Before applying for the President’s Ph.D. scholarship, applicants must have already contacted a supervisor in the academic department of their choice at Imperial College London who has accepted to supervise their research project.
How to apply:
Interested students must apply to study at Imperial College London through the college’s online admission system, and applicants will be directly considered for the award depending on their academic excellence as well as their potential.
Applicants may be required to write a 1000 words personal statement (maximum 2 pages) that outlines their academic and research achievement, and where they will have to explain briefly their planned research project.
