The University of Groningen is situated in the Northern part of the Netherlands, a region that is particularly significant to the University. The university was hierarchical eighth within the 2019 UI GreenMetric international University Ranking, which incorporates 780 universities.

The University of Groningen operates according to the BSA system, whereby a first-year Bachelor’s student must obtain a certain number of ECTS in order to be able to proceed to the second year. This number varies from 30 ECTS to 45 ECTS depending on the degree. 

The University is union into eleven schools giving programs and courses within the humanities, social sciences, law, social science and business, area sciences, life sciences, natural sciences and technology.

The Holland Scholarship is now available for International Students in all fields who wish to get a Master degree at the University of Groningen, Netherlands. 

Scholarship Benefits:  

5,000€ will be offered by the University of Groningen to high-achieving international Master’s students to enable them to complete their education in the Netherlands for the academic year 2022-2023. 

Eligibility requirements: 

In order to be considered, candidates are required to be international students with excellent grades while studying for an undergraduate degree or diploma. 

Application process: 

Successful candidates are necessary to gain admission to the university. Then they have the possibility to submit applications for international scholarships.

Candidates are necessary to provide all documents that are required by the university, a letter from the University of Groningen, a letter of motivation, a transcript of records and a present curriculum vitae. 

Admission Requirements: 

Before applying to the university, participants should carefully examine the admission conditions. 

Language Conditions:  

Candidates are required to successfully achieve all English language proficiency qualifications: IELTS (academic) with a score of 6.5, TOEFL IBT with a score of at least 24, and Cambridge English with a minimum score of 180.
