These Christmas cookie bars are the ultimate holiday treat! Packed with festive red and green M&Ms, creamy white chocolate chips, and a chewy, buttery base, they’re as fun to make as they are to eat. Perfect for sharing with family and friends or gifting during the season of giving.
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup red and green M&Ms (divided)
- ½ cup white chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
- Fold in ¾ cup of M&Ms and the white chocolate chips, reserving the remaining M&Ms for topping.
- Spread the dough evenly into the prepared pan. Sprinkle the reserved M&Ms over the top and press them lightly into the surface.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the edges are golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan. Once cooled, slice into squares or rectangles and serve.
