Description

Get ready to wow your crowd with this Easy Buffalo Chicken Dip! It’s the ultimate appetizer—packed with creamy cheese, spicy buffalo sauce, and savory shredded chicken. Whether you’re hosting a game day party or simply craving a snack, this hot, bubbly dip will be gone before you know it. Perfect with tortilla chips, crackers, or fresh veggies!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups (250 g) cooked chicken, shredded (rotisserie chicken works great)
  • 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup (120 ml) ranch dressing or blue cheese dressing
  • ½ cup (120 ml) buffalo wing sauce (such as Frank’s RedHot)
  • 1 cup (100 g) shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup (50 g) shredded mozzarella cheese

For serving: Tortilla chips, crackers, celery sticks, or carrot sticks

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Prepare the Dip Mixture
In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, ranch or blue cheese dressing, and buffalo wing sauce. Stir until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  • Add the Chicken and Cheeses
Fold in the shredded chicken, cheddar cheese, and half of the mozzarella cheese. Mix until evenly combined.
  • Assemble the Dip
Transfer the mixture to an 8×8-inch baking dish. Spread it out evenly and sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top.
  • Bake the Dip
Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the dip is hot and bubbly, and the cheese on top is melted and golden brown.
  • Serve and Enjoy
Let the dip cool for a few minutes before serving. Serve warm with tortilla chips, crackers, or fresh veggies, and watch it disappear in no time!

Notes

  • Make Ahead: Prepare the dip up to a day in advance and refrigerate it. Bake just before serving for the freshest flavor.
  • Slow Cooker Option: Combine all ingredients in a slow cooker and cook on low for 2–3 hours, stirring occasionally.
  • Spice Level: Add more buffalo sauce or a splash of hot sauce for extra heat, or reduce the buffalo sauce slightly for a milder dip.
  • Cheese Variations: Substitute cheddar or mozzarella with Monterey Jack, Colby, or pepper jack cheese for a different flavor profile.
