Ingredients
- 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup diced cooked ham
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon hot sauce (optional)
- 1 large round loaf of bread (sourdough or similar)
- Crackers, tortilla chips, or fresh vegetables for dipping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and hot sauce. Mix until smooth.
- Fold in the diced ham, ensuring it is evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
- Cut the top off the bread loaf and hollow out the center, leaving about an inch of bread around the edges. Save the removed bread pieces for dipping.
- Spoon the dip mixture into the hollowed-out bread bowl. Place the bread bowl on a baking sheet and cover it with the bread top to prevent drying out.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the dip is hot and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and serve warm. Arrange bread chunks, crackers, or veggies around the bread bowl for dipping.
Notes
- Make-Ahead Tip: Prepare the dip mixture a day in advance and store it in the refrigerator. Assemble and bake when ready to serve.
