Ingredients

For the Chicken:

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (cut into bite-sized pieces)
  • ½ cup cornstarch
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (for frying)

For the Honey Sauce:

  • ¼ cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch (mixed with 2 teaspoons water)

For Garnish:

    • Sesame seeds
    • Chopped green onions

Instructions

  • Prepare the Chicken:
    • Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces and pat dry.
    • Mix cornstarch, salt, and black pepper in a bowl.
    • Dip each chicken piece into beaten egg, then coat in the cornstarch mixture.
  • Cook the Chicken:
    • Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
    • Fry chicken pieces for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
    • Remove from the pan and set aside.
  • Make the Honey Sauce:
    • In the same pan, add honey, soy sauce, oyster sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger.
    • Stir and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
    • Add cornstarch slurry and stir until the sauce thickens.
  • Coat the Chicken:
    • Return the fried chicken to the pan and toss it in the sticky honey sauce.
    • Cook for 1-2 minutes until fully coated.
  • Serve & Enjoy:
    • Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
    • Serve hot with rice, noodles, or stir-fried vegetables.

Notes

For Extra Crispiness – Double coat the chicken with cornstarch.
Make It Spicy – Add red pepper flakes or Sriracha to the sauce.
Healthier Option – Bake at 400°F for 20-25 minutes or air-fry at 375°F for 12-15 minutes.
