Description

These Carrot Patch Dirt Cups are a fun and festive no-bake dessert, perfect for Easter, spring parties, or a creative treat for kids. With layers of chocolate pudding, crushed Oreo “dirt,” and strawberry “carrots” dipped in white chocolate, these adorable treats are as delicious as they are fun to make!

Ingredients

  • Two 3.0-ounce boxes of chocolate pudding mix
  • 4 cups cold whole milk
  • 20 Oreo cookies, crushed
  • 12 fresh strawberries
  • 10 ounces white chocolate melting wafers
  • A few drops of orange food coloring (or a mix of red and yellow)

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the chocolate pudding mix and cold milk for 2 minutes. Let it sit for 5 minutes to thicken.
  • Melt the white chocolate wafers in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
  • Stir in orange food coloring to achieve a carrot-like shade.
  • Holding each strawberry by the stem, dip it into the melted orange chocolate, ensuring full coverage. Place on parchment paper to set.
  • Once set, drizzle extra melted chocolate over the strawberries for a realistic carrot texture.
  • Spoon the pudding into serving cups, filling each about three-quarters full.
  • Sprinkle crushed Oreo cookies over the pudding to create the “dirt” layer.
  • Press two chocolate-dipped strawberries into each cup to resemble carrots in soil.
  • Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to enjoy.

Notes

  • Storage: Best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
  • Customization: Add candy bunnies or edible flowers for extra decoration.
  • Dietary Variations: Use dairy-free pudding and chocolate for a vegan version.
  • Serving Tip: Use clear cups to showcase the fun layers.
