Description

These Cinnamon Apple Bites are the perfect blend of flaky, buttery dough and warm, spiced apple filling. Each bite is coated in a cinnamon-sugar crust, creating a delightful crunch that melts into a gooey, caramelized center. Whether you serve them for breakfast, dessert, or a cozy snack, these bite-sized treats are simple to make and impossible to resist!

Ingredients

  • Medium apples (2), peeled, cored, and diced
  • Unsalted butter (2 tablespoons)
  • Granulated sugar (1/3 cup)
  • Ground cinnamon (1 teaspoon)
  • Cornstarch (1 tablespoon)
  • Water (2 tablespoons)

For the Dough:

  • Refrigerated biscuit dough (1 can, 8 biscuits)
  • Unsalted butter, melted (1/2 cup)
  • Granulated sugar (1 cup)
  • Ground cinnamon (1 tablespoon)

Instructions

  • Make the Apple Filling: In a pan over medium heat, melt the butter and add diced apples, sugar, and cinnamon. Cook for 3-4 minutes until softened. Mix cornstarch with water and stir into the apples. Cook until thickened, then remove from heat.
  • Prepare the Dough: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish. Flatten each biscuit dough round and place a spoonful of apple filling in the center. Seal the edges to form a ball.
  • Coat and Bake: Dip each dough ball in melted butter, then roll in the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Place in the baking dish and bake for 18-20 minutes until golden brown.
  • Serve and Enjoy: Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm for the best flavor!

Notes

  • For extra crunch, add chopped pecans or walnuts to the filling.
  • Drizzle with caramel sauce for an indulgent twist.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days and reheat in the oven for a crispy texture.
