For Toppings:
- Heavy whipping cream (1 cup) or 1 tub whipped topping
- Bananas (1-2), sliced (for garnish)
- Fresh strawberries (½ cup), halved or sliced
- Chopped pecans or walnuts (½ cup)
- Chocolate syrup or melted chocolate (optional, for drizzling)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Layer the fruit: Spread sliced bananas, drained pineapple, and sliced strawberries evenly in the dish.
- Add the cake mix: Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the fruit layer.
- Drizzle with melted butter: Pour butter over the cake mix, making sure to cover as much as possible.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbling.
- Let cool slightly, then top with whipped cream, fresh fruit, chopped nuts, and a drizzle of chocolate syrup.
- Serve warm or chilled for a delicious, easy dessert!
Notes
- For extra richness, use chocolate cake mix instead of yellow.
- If using fresh pineapple, drain excess juice to prevent a soggy cake.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream for an even more indulgent treat!
