Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tablespoons oil (vegetable or sesame oil)
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional for depth)
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar or lemon juice
- 1–2 teaspoons chili flakes or sriracha (adjust to taste)
- 1 tablespoon honey or brown sugar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Green onions, chopped (for garnish)
- Cooked rice, for serving
Instructions
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the chicken pieces and sear until lightly browned and cooked through, about 6–8 minutes.
- Push the chicken to one side of the pan. Add garlic and ginger, sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), vinegar, chili flakes, and honey. Mix well to coat the chicken evenly.
- Let the sauce simmer for 2–3 minutes until it slightly thickens.
- Taste and adjust seasoning with salt, pepper, or more heat as desired.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot over rice.
