Description

This Easy Creamy Garlic Shrimp is a quick and delicious dish featuring juicy shrimp cooked in a rich, garlicky cream sauce. Perfect for a restaurant-quality meal at home, it’s ready in just 20 minutes! Serve it over pasta, rice, or with crusty bread to soak up the flavorful sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup chicken broth or white wine
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

Instructions

  • Sauté the Shrimp: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add shrimp, season with salt, paprika, and black pepper, and cook for 1-2 minutes per side until pink. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

  • Make the Garlic Sauce: In the same skillet, melt the remaining butter. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in chicken broth (or white wine) and let it reduce for 2 minutes.

  • Add the Cream & Cheese: Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.

  • Combine Everything: Return the shrimp to the skillet, add lemon juice, and stir to coat in the creamy garlic sauce. Cook for 1-2 minutes until heated through.

  • Serve & Enjoy: Garnish with fresh parsley and red pepper flakes if desired. Serve immediately over pasta, rice, or with bread.

Notes

  • Use fresh or frozen shrimp (thawed) for this recipe.
  • Swap heavy cream for half-and-half for a lighter version.
