Ingredients
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ cup chicken broth or white wine
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp paprika
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- Red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
Instructions
-
Sauté the Shrimp: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add shrimp, season with salt, paprika, and black pepper, and cook for 1-2 minutes per side until pink. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
-
Make the Garlic Sauce: In the same skillet, melt the remaining butter. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in chicken broth (or white wine) and let it reduce for 2 minutes.
-
Add the Cream & Cheese: Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
-
Combine Everything: Return the shrimp to the skillet, add lemon juice, and stir to coat in the creamy garlic sauce. Cook for 1-2 minutes until heated through.
-
Serve & Enjoy: Garnish with fresh parsley and red pepper flakes if desired. Serve immediately over pasta, rice, or with bread.
