This Irish Pub Burger is a rich and juicy burger packed with bold flavors. Featuring a perfectly seasoned beef patty, melted Irish cheddar cheese, crispy bacon, and a tangy Guinness-infused sauce, this burger is a must-try for any pub food lover. Serve it with a side of fries or a cold pint, and enjoy a true Irish-inspired meal!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • 4 slices Irish cheddar cheese
  • 4 brioche or pretzel buns
  • 4 slices crispy bacon
  • 1 tablespoon butter (for toasting buns)
  • 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
  • 4 leaves lettuce
  • 4 slices tomato

Instructions

  • Make the Guinness Sauce: Mix mayonnaise, Guinness beer, Dijon mustard, honey, and paprika in a small bowl. Set aside.

  • Prepare the patties: In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder. Form into 4 equal patties.

  • Cook the burgers: Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook patties for 3-4 minutes per side or until desired doneness.

  • Melt the cheese: Place a slice of Irish cheddar on each patty and let it melt.

  • Toast the buns: Spread butter on the buns and toast them in a skillet until golden.

  • Assemble the burgers: Spread Guinness sauce on the bottom bun, add lettuce, tomato, the cheesy burger patty, crispy bacon, and sliced red onions. Top with the bun.

  • Serve hot with fries, coleslaw, or a cold pint of beer!

Notes

  • Use pretzel buns for an extra authentic pub-style burger.
  • Swap Irish cheddar for Swiss or blue cheese for a different twist.
  • Add sautéed mushrooms or caramelized onions for extra richness.
  • Leftover patties can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
