A buttery cake mix crust is layered with rich caramelized toffee bits and chocolate, creating a chewy, gooey dessert that’s perfect for any occasion. Whether for a party, bake sale, or just a sweet craving, these bars are sure to be a hit!

Ingredients

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup toffee bits
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.

  • Prepare the crust: In a large bowl, mix the cake mix, melted butter, and egg until combined. Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.

  • Layer the toppings: Sprinkle the toffee bits and chocolate chips evenly over the crust.

  • Add the sweetened condensed milk: Drizzle the condensed milk evenly over the entire surface.

  • Bake: Place in the oven and bake for 25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set.

  • Cool & slice: Let the bars cool completely before slicing into squares. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • Swap yellow cake mix for chocolate or vanilla for a different flavor twist.
  • Use dark chocolate chips for a richer taste.
  • Add chopped nuts for extra crunch.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for a week.
