Ingredients
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup low-sodium beef or chicken broth
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 1 tbsp water (optional, for thickening)
- 8 oz egg noodles (or pasta of choice)
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
-
Cook the Turkey: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground turkey and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.
-
Sauté the Vegetables: In the same skillet, add onions, garlic, and mushrooms. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
-
Make the Sauce: Add salt, pepper, paprika, Worcestershire sauce, and broth. Simmer for 5 minutes. If using cornstarch, stir it in to thicken the sauce.
-
Combine Everything: Return the cooked turkey to the pan. Stir in sour cream and mix well. Let it heat through but do not boil.
-
Serve & Enjoy: Serve over cooked egg noodles and garnish with fresh parsley.
Notes
- For extra creaminess, swap sour cream for Greek yogurt.
- Use ground beef or chicken as a substitute for turkey.
- Serve with rice or mashed potatoes for a different twist.
