Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets (skin-on or skinless)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 ½ teaspoons Cajun seasoning
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Chopped parsley or green onions for garnish (optional)
Instructions
-
Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel. Season both sides with Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
-
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
-
Add salmon, skin-side down (if using), and cook for 3–4 minutes until crisp. Flip and cook for another 2–3 minutes, or until cooked through and golden. Remove salmon and set aside.
-
Reduce heat to medium and add butter, honey, and lemon juice to the skillet. Stir until the butter is melted and the sauce begins to thicken slightly (about 1–2 minutes).
-
Return salmon to the pan and spoon the honey butter sauce over each piece. Cook for another 1–2 minutes to coat well.
-
Garnish with parsley or green onions before serving.
Notes
- Adjust Cajun seasoning to your spice preference.
- Use wild-caught salmon for a richer flavor.
- Serve with rice, roasted veggies, or garlic mashed potatoes.
- Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days and reheated gently.
- Make it dairy-free by substituting plant-based butter.
