Description

This Cajun Honey Butter Salmon is the perfect blend of spicy, sweet, and buttery goodness! Seared to crispy perfection and glazed with a sticky honey butter sauce, this quick and easy salmon dish is packed with bold Southern flavor and ready in under 20 minutes. A total weeknight winner!

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (skin-on or skinless)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 ½ teaspoons Cajun seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Chopped parsley or green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel. Season both sides with Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  • Add salmon, skin-side down (if using), and cook for 3–4 minutes until crisp. Flip and cook for another 2–3 minutes, or until cooked through and golden. Remove salmon and set aside.

  • Reduce heat to medium and add butter, honey, and lemon juice to the skillet. Stir until the butter is melted and the sauce begins to thicken slightly (about 1–2 minutes).

  • Return salmon to the pan and spoon the honey butter sauce over each piece. Cook for another 1–2 minutes to coat well.

  • Garnish with parsley or green onions before serving.

Notes

  • Adjust Cajun seasoning to your spice preference.
  • Use wild-caught salmon for a richer flavor.
  • Serve with rice, roasted veggies, or garlic mashed potatoes.
  • Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days and reheated gently.
  • Make it dairy-free by substituting plant-based butter.
