Description
These vibrant, spicy, and smoky chicken tikka skewers are marinated in yogurt and Indian spices, then grilled or baked to juicy perfection. Perfect for appetizers or mains!
Ingredients
- 1 ½ lbs boneless chicken thighs or breasts, cut into 1.5-inch cubes
- 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- ½ teaspoon turmeric
- ½ teaspoon chili powder (adjust to taste)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Skewers (wooden or metal)

In a bowl, combine yogurt, lemon juice, spices, and salt to create a marinade.

Add chicken pieces to the marinade. Toss to coat well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.

Soak wooden skewers in water (if using) for 30 minutes.

Preheat grill or oven to 425°F (220°C).

Thread marinated chicken onto skewers.

Grill or bake for 20–25 minutes, turning halfway, until chicken is cooked and slightly charred.

Serve with lemon wedges and cilantro.

Notes
- You can use an air fryer at 390°F for 12–15 minutes, flipping halfway.
- For extra char, broil for 1–2 minutes at the end.
