Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken drumsticks
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top.

  • Pat chicken dry and rub with olive oil. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.

  • Arrange chicken on the rack and roast for 35 minutes.

  • Remove from oven, brush with BBQ sauce, and return to oven for 10–15 more minutes, until caramelized and internal temp is 165°F.

  • Optional: Broil for 2–3 minutes for extra char.

  • Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
