Description
Creamy, spiced Chicken Tikka Masala is the ultimate comfort dish with marinated chicken simmered in a rich tomato cream sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless chicken breast or thighs, cubed
- 1/2 cup plain yogurt
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt to taste
For the Sauce:
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp grated ginger
- 1 1/2 cups tomato puree
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp garam masala
- Salt and pepper to taste

Marinate chicken in yogurt, lemon juice, and spices for at least 1 hour.

Cook marinated chicken in a hot skillet until browned; set aside.

In the same skillet, sauté onion, garlic, and ginger in butter until soft.

Add tomato puree and spices; simmer 10 minutes.

Stir in cream and add the chicken back to the pan.

Simmer until thickened and chicken is cooked through. Serve with rice or naan.
