Description
This homemade Panda Express Orange Chicken tastes just like the takeout classic—crispy chicken bites glazed in a sweet and tangy orange sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/2 cup flour
- Oil for frying
For the Sauce:
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ginger, minced
- 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water

Coat chicken in flour, dip in egg, then dredge in cornstarch.

Fry in hot oil until golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels.

In a pan, combine all sauce ingredients except the cornstarch slurry.

Bring to a simmer, then stir in the slurry and cook until thickened.

Toss fried chicken in the sauce until evenly coated.
