Ingredients

  • Black pepper
  • Garlic powder (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425°F.
  • Scrub and dry the potatoes thoroughly.
  • Prick each potato several times with a fork.
  • Rub each with olive oil, then sprinkle with salt, pepper, and optional garlic powder.
  • Place directly on the oven rack and bake for 45–60 minutes until crispy outside and tender inside.
  • Let cool slightly before slicing open and adding toppings.

Notes
