Description

 This Garlic Butter Shrimp Scampi is a quick and elegant dish bursting with flavor. Juicy shrimp are sautéed in a rich garlic butter sauce, brightened with lemon juice and parsley, and served over pasta or with crusty bread for a restaurant-worthy meal in just 20 minutes.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • ¼ cup dry white wine or chicken broth
  •  
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • Cooked pasta or crusty bread, for serving

Instructions

  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt the butter with the olive oil.

  • Add the garlic and red pepper flakes; sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.

  • Add the shrimp in a single layer and season with salt and pepper.

  • Cook for about 1–2 minutes per side, or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.

  • Pour in the white wine (or chicken broth) and lemon juice. Simmer for 2–3 minutes to reduce slightly.

  • Stir in chopped parsley and adjust seasoning as needed.

  • Serve immediately over pasta or with warm crusty bread.

Notes

  • For extra richness, finish with a tablespoon of cold butter just before serving.
  • Add a pinch of parmesan for a cheesy twist.
  • Make it spicy with more chili flakes or a dash of cayenne.
