Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans
- 2 tablespoons corn syrup
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar (for filling)
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

Cream butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Mix in egg yolk and vanilla.

Stir in flour and salt to form dough.

Roll into balls and create a small well in the center of each.

Mix pecans, corn syrup, and brown sugar. Spoon filling into cookie centers.

Bake for 12–14 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.

- Chill dough for 20 minutes for easier handling. Add a dash of cinnamon for warmth.
