Description

Fresh, fast, and flavor-packed, these Asian Chicken Lettuce Wraps are loaded with savory ground chicken, crunchy veggies, and a sweet-salty sauce for the perfect low-carb bite.


Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger
  • ¼ cup hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha or chili garlic sauce (optional)
  • 1 (8 oz) can water chestnuts, drained and chopped
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Butter or Bibb lettuce leaves, for serving
  • Chopped peanuts and extra green onions, for garnish

Instructions

  • Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground chicken and cook until browned, about 5–6 minutes.

  • Stir in onion, garlic, and ginger, and sauté until fragrant and softened.

  • Add hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sriracha. Stir to coat the meat evenly.

  • Stir in water chestnuts and green onions. Cook for another 2 minutes.

  • Spoon mixture into lettuce leaves and garnish with peanuts and more green onions.

  • Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can substitute ground turkey for chicken.

  • Add shredded carrots or chopped mushrooms for extra veggies.These wraps make a great appetizer or light dinner.
