Description

Juicy, perfectly seared steak made effortlessly in the air fryer! This easy recipe delivers tender, flavorful results with a crisp crust—no grill required.

Ingredients

  • 2 ribeye or sirloin steaks
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • Fresh rosemary or thyme sprigs (optional)

Instructions

  • Pat the steaks dry and rub both sides with olive oil.

  • Season evenly with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.

  • Place steaks in the air fryer basket without overlapping. Add rosemary or thyme if using.

  • Cook for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until desired doneness.

  • Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Letting the steak rest ensures juices redistribute evenly.
  • Adjust cook time based on thickness and desired doneness.
  • Pair with garlic butter or chimichurri sauce for extra flavor.
  • Bone-in steaks may require slightly longer cooking time.
  • Use a meat thermometer for best results: 130°F for medium-rare, 140°F for medium.
