Description

Creamy, garlicky shrimp alfredo comes together in under 30 minutes for a decadent and easy pasta dinner that’s perfect for weeknights or date nights.

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces fettuccine pasta
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1½ cups heavy cream
  • ¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  • Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil and cook shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.

  • In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic for 1 minute.

  • Add heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese and whisk until smooth.

  • Return shrimp to the skillet and add cooked pasta. Toss to combine.

Notes

  • Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for heat.
  • Use fresh grated Parmesan for best texture.
  • Avoid overcooking shrimp—they cook quickly.
  • Add steamed broccoli or spinach for more nutrients.
  • Can substitute half-and-half for a lighter version.
