Description

This easy beef stir fry is bursting with savory-sweet flavor and crunchy vegetables, all tossed in a quick homemade sauce. Ready in under 30 minutes for the perfect weeknight meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup snap peas
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

Instructions

  • Toss beef with 2 tablespoons soy sauce and cornstarch. Set aside for 10 minutes.

  • Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a wok or skillet. Stir-fry beef until browned, 3–4 minutes. Remove and set aside.

  • Add remaining oil and stir-fry vegetables for 4–5 minutes until crisp-tender.

  • Add garlic and ginger; stir for 30 seconds.

  • Return beef to pan. Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, and sesame oil.

  • Stir well and cook for 2 more minutes. Serve hot over rice.

Notes

  • Use pre-cut stir-fry vegetables to save time.
  • Add chili flakes or sriracha for a spicy version.
  • Can be made gluten-free with tamari instead of soy sauce.
