Crispy on the outside and gooey inside, these cheesy ground beef quesadillas are a quick, comforting meal with bold Tex-Mex flavors. Perfect for busy weeknights or lazy weekends.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 small onion, diced
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon taco seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup salsa
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 1 tablespoon butter or oil, for frying
Instructions

In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Add onion and cook until soft.

Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, taco seasoning, salt, pepper, and salsa. Cook for 2–3 minutes.

Remove from heat.

Lay tortillas flat, sprinkle cheese on one half, then spoon beef mixture over the cheese. Top with more cheese and fold tortilla in half.

Heat a clean skillet with butter or oil over medium heat. Cook quesadillas one at a time until golden and crispy on both sides.

Slice and serve warm.

- Use a mix of cheddar and Monterey Jack for best melt.
