Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 tablespoons red food coloring
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon white vinegar
- Frosting: 8 oz cream cheese, 1/2 cup butter, 4 cups powdered sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour two 9-inch round pans.

In a bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, cocoa powder, and salt.

Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time.
