This easy French toast casserole is soft, cinnamon-sweet, and perfect for breakfast or brunch—make it ahead for a stress-free morning.


Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French bread, cubed
  • 8 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  • Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.

  • In a large bowl, whisk eggs, milk, cream, sugars, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

  • Add bread cubes and gently toss. Pour into dish and let soak for 30 minutes or overnight.

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  • Bake for 45–50 minutes until golden and set.

  • Dust with powdered sugar and serve with syrup.
