Description

A refreshing summer drink made with black tea, fresh peaches, and raspberries, perfect for hot days.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 4 black tea bags
  • 1 cup fresh peaches, sliced
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries
  • 1/2 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 2 cups cold water
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Once boiling, remove from heat and add the black tea bags. Steep for 5 minutes, then remove the tea bags and let the tea cool to room temperature.
  2. In a blender, combine the sliced peaches, raspberries, and sugar. Blend until smooth. If desired, strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve to remove seeds and pulp.
  3. In a large pitcher, combine the cooled tea, fruit puree, and 2 cups of cold water. Stir well to combine.
  4. Taste the mixture and adjust sweetness by adding more sugar if needed.
  5. Chill the iced tea in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
  6. Serve over ice and garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.

Notes

  • For a sparkling version, replace cold water with sparkling water for a fizzy twist.
  • Try adding a splash of lemon juice for a citrusy kick or substitute other berries like strawberries or blueberries for different flavors.
