Description

A refreshing summer drink made with raspberries and tea, perfect for hot days.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 4 tea bags (black or green tea)
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries (plus extra for garnish)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint leaves (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Once boiling, remove from heat and add the tea bags. Steep for 5 minutes, then remove the tea bags and let the tea cool to room temperature.
  2. In a blender, combine the fresh raspberries and sugar. Blend until smooth, then strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve to remove the seeds.
  3. In a large pitcher, combine the cooled tea, raspberry puree, and fresh lemon juice. Stir well to combine.
  4. Refrigerate the mixture for at least 1 hour to chill.
  5. To serve, fill glasses with ice cubes, pour the raspberry iced tea over the ice, and garnish with fresh raspberries and mint leaves.

Notes

  • For a sparkling version, replace half of the water with sparkling water before serving.
  • Experiment with other fruits like strawberries or peaches for different flavor profiles.
