Iced Cocoa Milk Tea is a refreshing beverage that combines the rich flavors of cocoa and black tea, perfect for a warm day.
Ingredients
- 2 cups water
- 2 tablespoons black tea leaves or 2 black tea bags
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
- Ice cubes
- Chocolate shavings or cocoa powder for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Boil 2 cups of water in a saucepan. Once boiling, remove from heat and add the black tea leaves or tea bags. Let steep for 5 minutes.
- Strain the tea into a bowl or pitcher, discarding the leaves or bags.
- While the tea is still warm, whisk in the cocoa powder and sugar until fully dissolved.
- Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Once chilled, combine the cocoa tea with the milk in a glass filled with ice cubes. Stir well to combine.
- Garnish with chocolate shavings or a sprinkle of cocoa powder if desired. Serve immediately.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use whole milk or add a splash of vanilla extract.
- You can also substitute the sugar with honey or a sugar alternative for a different sweetness profile.
