Description
A refreshing mango lemonade recipe that combines the sweetness of ripe mangoes with the tartness of fresh lemons, perfect for hot days.
Ingredients
- 2 ripe mangoes, peeled and diced
- 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons)
- 1 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
- 4 cups cold water
- Ice cubes
- Lemon slices and mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a blender, combine the diced mangoes and 1 cup of cold water. Blend until smooth.
- Strain the mango puree through a fine mesh sieve into a large pitcher to remove any pulp. Discard the pulp.
- Add the fresh lemon juice and granulated sugar to the mango juice in the pitcher. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
- Pour in the remaining 3 cups of cold water and mix well. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed by adding more sugar or lemon juice.
- Chill the mango lemonade in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
- Serve over ice cubes and garnish with lemon slices and mint leaves if desired.
Notes
- For a sparkling version, replace some or all of the cold water with sparkling water.
- Add a pinch of salt or a few fresh basil leaves for an extra flavor twist.
