Description

A refreshing mango lemonade recipe that combines the sweetness of ripe mangoes with the tartness of fresh lemons, perfect for hot days.


Ingredients

  • 2 ripe mangoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 46 lemons)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 4 cups cold water
  • Ice cubes
  • Lemon slices and mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine the diced mangoes and 1 cup of cold water. Blend until smooth.
  2. Strain the mango puree through a fine mesh sieve into a large pitcher to remove any pulp. Discard the pulp.
  3. Add the fresh lemon juice and granulated sugar to the mango juice in the pitcher. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  4. Pour in the remaining 3 cups of cold water and mix well. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed by adding more sugar or lemon juice.
  5. Chill the mango lemonade in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  6. Serve over ice cubes and garnish with lemon slices and mint leaves if desired.

Notes

  • For a sparkling version, replace some or all of the cold water with sparkling water.
  • Add a pinch of salt or a few fresh basil leaves for an extra flavor twist.
