Description

Balsamic Grilled Flank Steak Caprese brings bold flavor with a delicious combination of marinated flank steak, fresh mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, and basil, drizzled with balsamic glaze.


Ingredients

  • 1 ½ pounds flank steak
  • 1 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 8 ounces fresh mozzarella, diced
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze (for drizzling)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together balsamic vinegar, olive oil, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Place the flank steak in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over it. Seal or cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or up to overnight for more flavor.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade and discard the marinade.
  4. Grill the flank steak for about 5-7 minutes per side, or until it reaches your desired doneness (135°F for medium-rare).
  5. Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing against the grain.
  6. In a large bowl, combine the cherry tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil. Toss gently to mix.
  7. Serve the sliced steak topped with the Caprese mixture and drizzle with balsamic glaze.
