A delicious and healthy Chicken Avocado Wrap recipe that combines shredded chicken, creamy avocado, and fresh vegetables wrapped in whole wheat tortillas.
Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
- 1 ripe avocado, mashed
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 large whole wheat tortillas
- 1 cup fresh spinach leaves
- 1 medium tomato, diced
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the shredded chicken, mashed avocado, lime juice, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Lay out the whole wheat tortillas on a clean surface.
- Evenly distribute the chicken and avocado mixture onto each tortilla, leaving about an inch of space around the edges.
- Top the mixture with fresh spinach leaves, diced tomato, and shredded cheese.
- Fold in the sides of each tortilla and then roll it up tightly from the bottom to the top.
- Slice each wrap in half diagonally and serve immediately, or wrap in foil and refrigerate for up to 2 hours before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add sliced jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce to the filling.
- You can also substitute the chicken with canned tuna or chickpeas for a different protein option.
