Description
Festive Red, White, and Blue Jello Shots perfect for patriotic celebrations.
Ingredients
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 cup cold water
- 1 package (3 oz) red Jello (strawberry or cherry flavor)
- 1 package (3 oz) blue Jello (berry or blue raspberry flavor)
- 1 cup vodka
- 1 cup whipped cream (for topping)
- Red, white, and blue sprinkles (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, dissolve the red Jello in 1 cup of boiling water. Stir until fully dissolved. Add 1/2 cup of cold water and 1/2 cup of vodka. Mix well.
- Pour the red Jello mixture into shot glasses, filling them about halfway. Place the shot glasses in the refrigerator and chill for about 2 hours, or until set.
- In another mixing bowl, dissolve the blue Jello in 1 cup of boiling water. Stir until fully dissolved. Add 1/2 cup of cold water and 1/2 cup of vodka. Mix well.
- Once the red Jello is set, carefully pour the blue Jello mixture on top of the red layer, filling the shot glasses to the top. Return to the refrigerator and chill for another 2 hours, or until fully set.
- Once both layers are set, top each shot with a dollop of whipped cream and sprinkle with red, white, and blue sprinkles.
Notes
- For a non-alcoholic version, replace vodka with an equal amount of cold water or lemon-lime soda.
- Experiment with different flavors of Jello to create a unique color combination for different holidays or celebrations.
