Description
A light and refreshing dessert made with layers of angel food cake, mixed berries, and whipped cream.
Ingredients
- 1 angel food cake
- 2 cups mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
- 2 cups whipped cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Prepare the angel food cake according to package instructions and let it cool.
- In a bowl, mix the berries with powdered sugar and let them sit for 10 minutes.
- Cut the angel food cake into cubes.
- In a trifle dish, layer the cake cubes, berries, and whipped cream.
- Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with whipped cream on top.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
Notes
- Feel free to use any combination of berries you prefer.
- This dessert can be made a few hours in advance.
- For a lighter version, use low-fat whipped cream.
