A deliciously easy recipe for Creamy Kielbasa and Broccoli Skillet that combines savory kielbasa with fresh broccoli in a creamy cheese sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 pound kielbasa, sliced into rounds
- 4 cups fresh broccoli florets
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and sauté for about 3-4 minutes until translucent.
- Add the sliced kielbasa to the skillet and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the kielbasa is browned.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the broccoli florets to the skillet and pour in the heavy cream. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.
- Reduce the heat to low and add the shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until the cheese is melted and the mixture is creamy.
- Cook for an additional 5 minutes, allowing the broccoli to become tender.
- Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for the heavy cream.
- Add cooked pasta or rice to the skillet for a heartier meal.
