Description
Delicious and easy-to-make Thai Chicken Bites, perfect for a snack or appetizer.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground chicken
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooking oil for frying
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, green onions, cilantro, soy sauce, fish sauce, lime juice, garlic powder, ginger, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into small bite-sized balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add enough cooking oil to coat the bottom of the pan.
- Once hot, add the chicken bites in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan.
- Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Remove the chicken bites from the skillet and drain on paper towels. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add more red pepper flakes or a dash of sriracha to the mixture.
- You can substitute ground turkey or pork for the chicken for a different flavor profile.
- Serve with a side of sweet chili sauce for dipping or over a bed of lettuce for a fresh twist.
