Description

Creamy Bacon and Cheese Tortellini is a delightful and rich pasta dish that combines the flavors of crispy bacon, creamy sauce, and cheese-filled tortellini.


Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cheese tortellini
  • 4 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the cheese tortellini according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the bacon and drain on paper towels, leaving the bacon fat in the skillet.
  3. Add olive oil to the skillet with the bacon fat. Sauté the minced garlic for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.
  5. Add the cooked tortellini to the skillet and toss to coat in the creamy sauce. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and well combined.
  6. Remove from heat and sprinkle the crispy bacon on top. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for the heavy cream and reduce the amount of cheese.
  • Add vegetables such as spinach or peas for extra nutrition and color. Sauté them with the garlic before adding the cream.
