Ingredients
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas and melted butter until well mixed.
- Stir in the vanilla extract, baking soda, and salt.
- Add the sugar and beaten egg, mixing until fully incorporated.
- Gradually add the flour, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the banana bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For a nutty twist, add 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts or pecans to the batter.
- For a healthier version, substitute half of the all-purpose flour with whole wheat flour.
