Sriracha Bacon Bleu Cheese Breakfast Toasts are irresistible!
Ingredients
- 4 slices of whole grain bread
- 4 ounces of cooked bacon, chopped
- 4 ounces of bleu cheese, crumbled
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 2 tablespoons of Sriracha sauce
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh chives, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the slices of bread on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil. Toast in the oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
- While the bread is toasting, cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove from the skillet and drain on paper towels.
- Once the bread is toasted, remove it from the oven. Spread the crumbled bleu cheese evenly over each slice.
- Top the bleu cheese with the chopped bacon and sliced avocado.
- Drizzle Sriracha sauce over the top, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Return the toasts to the oven for an additional 3-5 minutes, just until the cheese starts to melt slightly.
- Remove from the oven, garnish with chopped chives, and serve immediately.
Notes
- For a creamier texture, consider adding a dollop of sour cream or Greek yogurt on top before serving.
- You can also swap out the bleu cheese for feta or goat cheese for a different flavor profile.
- For a spicy kick, add sliced jalapeños or a sprinkle of red pepper flakes.
