Description
Reuben Crescent Bake is a delicious twist on the traditional Reuben sandwich, featuring crescent roll dough filled with corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, and Thousand Island dressing.
Ingredients
- 2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1 cup cooked corned beef, chopped
- 1 cup sauerkraut, drained and squeezed dry
- 1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup Thousand Island dressing
- 1 teaspoon caraway seeds (optional)
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
- On a large baking sheet, arrange the triangles in a circle, overlapping the edges slightly, to form a ring.
- Spread the Thousand Island dressing evenly over the dough.
- Layer the chopped corned beef, sauerkraut, and Swiss cheese over the dressing.
- If using, sprinkle caraway seeds over the cheese.
- Fold the points of the crescent dough over the filling, tucking them under the ring to seal.
- Brush the top of the dough with the beaten egg.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the dough is golden brown.
- Let cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For a twist, try adding sliced pickles or jalapeños for extra flavor.
- You can also substitute turkey for the corned beef for a lighter version.
