Eligibility Requirements:

To qualify for the scholarship, several criteria must be met. Firstly, you must be a self-funded student who is starting their studies at the University of Leeds at the undergraduate Level 1. Additionally, you must be classified as an international student for tuition fee purposes.

Students who have successfully completed the International Foundation Year (IFY) at the University of Leeds and are self-funding will also be considered for the scholarship.

Moreover, you must have received an offer to study on an undergraduate degree program within the School of Earth and Environment at the University of Leeds for the academic year 2023/24.

The scholarship offers a total value of up to £5,000, with £3,000 awarded in the first year and £1,000 in subsequent years, subject to satisfactory performance. To retain the scholarship, it is essential to maintain a yearly attainment percentage of 60% or higher, ensuring successful completion of all modules on the first attempt. If your performance falls below 60% in any year, the scholarship will be withheld, but it can be reinstated the following year if your performance recovers to 60% or higher. The scholarship amount of £1,000 will be awarded per year of study.
