  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg beaten (for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Method
 

  1. Prepare the Pastry Base
  2. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  3. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  4. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheet to smooth any creases.
  5. Make the Cookie Dough Filling
  6. In a small bowl, mix chocolate chips, brown sugar, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  7. Stir until the mixture is evenly combined.
  8. Assemble the Twists
  9. Spread the cookie dough filling evenly over one half of the puff pastry.
  10. Fold the other half of the pastry over the filling to enclose it.
  11. Cut and Twist the Pastry
  12. Use a sharp knife or pizza cutter to slice the folded pastry into 1-inch strips.
  13. Twist each strip a few times to form spirals.
  14. Place the twists on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between them.
  15. Egg Wash and Bake
  16. Brush the twists with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  17. Bake for 15-18 minutes or until puffed and golden brown.
  18. Cool and Serve
  19. Let the twists cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar.
