Cook the Pasta:
- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente.
- Drain the pasta and transfer it to a large mixing bowl.
Season the Pasta:
- Drizzle the pasta with olive oil and chili-infused oil (if using).
- Add parmesan cheese, garlic granules, smoked paprika, herbs de Provence, and a pinch of salt.
- Toss the pasta until it’s evenly coated with the seasoning.
Preheat the Air Fryer:
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3 minutes.
Air Fry the Pasta:
- Place the seasoned pasta in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Avoid overcrowding for even cooking.
- Air fry at 400°F for 10-15 minutes, shaking the basket every 5 minutes to ensure the pasta crisps up evenly.
- The pasta chips are ready when they’re golden brown and crunchy.
Serve and Enjoy:
- Transfer the pasta chips to a serving plate.
- Serve with marinara sauce, ranch dressing, or any dip of your choice.
Notes
-
- Type of Pasta: Rigatoni, penne, and farfalle are the best options as their shapes crisp up beautifully.
- Adjust the Heat: For a spicier kick, add extra chili-infused oil, cayenne pepper, or crushed red pepper flakes.
- Make It Vegan: Skip the parmesan cheese and use nutritional yeast for a dairy-free alternative.
- Storage Tips: Store leftover pasta chips in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. Reheat them in the air fryer for 2-3 minutes to restore their crunch.
- Batch Cooking: If you’re making a larger quantity, cook the pasta chips in batches to avoid overcrowding the air fryer.
