Ingredients
  

  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger
  • ¼ cup hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha or chili garlic sauce optional
  • 1 8 oz can water chestnuts, drained and chopped
  • 2 green onions sliced
  • Butter or Bibb lettuce leaves for serving
  • Chopped peanuts and extra green onions for garnish

Method
 

  1. Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground chicken and cook until browned, about 5–6 minutes.
  2. Stir in onion, garlic, and ginger, and sauté until fragrant and softened.
  3. Add hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sriracha. Stir to coat the meat evenly.
  4. Stir in water chestnuts and green onions. Cook for another 2 minutes.
  5. Spoon mixture into lettuce leaves and garnish with peanuts and more green onions.
  6. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can substitute ground turkey for chicken.
  • Add shredded carrots or chopped mushrooms for extra veggies.These wraps make a great appetizer or light dinner.
