Ingredients
  

  • 1 whole beef tenderloin trimmed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh thyme chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine butter, garlic, rosemary, thyme, mustard, salt, and pepper.
  3. Rub mixture all over the tenderloin.
  4. Place beef on a roasting rack and roast for 25–30 minutes for medium-rare.
  5. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
