  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger minced
  • 2 green onions chopped (plus extra for garnish)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups cooked rice jasmine, basmati, or brown rice

Method
 

  1. Cook the Aromatics – Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and ginger, sautéing for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  2. Brown the Beef – Add the ground beef, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned and no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if needed.
  3. Season the Beef – Pour in the soy sauce (or tamari) and mix well, ensuring the beef is evenly coated. Add salt, pepper, and chopped green onions. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes to absorb the flavors.
  4. Assemble the Bowl – Serve the beef over a bed of warm cooked rice. Garnish with additional green onions and optional toppings like sesame seeds, cucumber slices, or kimchi.
